The Parawan Gap is a pass near Parawan, Utah. It is a classic example of a wind gap or an unusual geological landform marking where an ancient river has cut a deep 600-foot notch through Red Hills.

Another example is the nationally recognized petroglyphs, or Native American rock art. Having a least 1,000 years of accumulation of art work picked and scribed into the rocks. There are many different geometric designs and drawings of animals, lizards, snakes, mountain sheep, and bear claws. Human figures adorn the smooth canyon walls.
