Snow Canyon

Snow Canyon State Park is in the far southwest part of the State of Utah. The Snow Canyon Park was created in 1959.
Snow Canyon has a history of human use. Among them were the Anasazi Indians who lived here in 200 A.D.

The Paiute Indians lived here until the white men moved in.

Mormon pioneers found the Snow Canyon in the 1850'. Snow Canyon has an excellent hiking, horseback and bike riding system. Close by are the cities of Ivins and St. George, Utah.

Notable hiking sites include sand dunes, natural creek, petrified sand dunes, and slot canyons.
Also, see the natural amphitheatre.
